our suburban....

My hubby Michael has ALWAY'S had a pickup. He says that every homeowner should have one. Where do you put the all of the stuff? In the back of the pickup of course! ha! Now that we have these children all I see is 4 less seats! LOL! We were lucky to find a used Suburban that had very little miles on it. PLUS it had 9 seatbelted seats! YAY! The things you get excited over when you're a parent! ha! I try to spy vehicles on my commute from work to home. Almost every vehicle that peaks my fancy is a convertible! Weird huh!? I just wonder what it would be like to be able to go places by MYSELF in just a 2 seater, to have the top down and the wind in my hair! Ohhh! Who am I kidding!! That will not be happening for quite awhile! For now we need vehicles that have 4 doors & at LEAST 7 seats. You have a BIG family you look for BIG cars! 7 seats is all we need that is if we do not have any guests riding with us. If you asked me 3 years ago what vehicle I'd love it would not be a Suburban!! SO after searching for a vehicle to fit our family of 7 the Suburban was the only way to go. 9 seats, YAY! It is definitely a gas guzzler and with gas prices the way that they are, it's CRAZY! But we need it & we all fit into it comfortably. So Suburban it was. I do have dreams though, like when I say, "When we win the lottery we will buy this type of vehicle". It is nice to dream! Time is all I need! It is funny how things change with time. Remember, Time is the light at the end of the tunnel. I joke about the lottery like we actually play it! ha! Maybe one day I will get to buy that 2 seater & be able to go places ALONE. For now Daddy puts his truck to good use while I trek them places in....

I hope you get your convertible someday and are still young enough to enjoy it!

In Dallas, the drivers are CRAZY so the bigger vehicle you drive - the safer you are. At least you have that!

Hi

I know this is a super old post that I'm commenting on but I really hope you receive the comment anyway. I think your story is amazing and so I've been following it on Blogspot. I'm a mom of twins, my second set of twins are on the way and I've been looking to quad moms for advice on handling four young children. I was wondering with the new vehicle. How do you manage to take the children from the third row out of the vehicle with the booster seats in the second row. I know to get to the third row you usually have to fold one of the second seats down, which is why I ask. :) I just wanted to know what your method was for getting all of the kids in and out of the cart and safely strapped into their carseats. :D Thanks in advance!
