There has been a growth spurt going on in our house lately. It all started the other night when I made a pork roast & our new favorite, jasmine rice for dinner. LOVE that stuff! YUM! The aroma of the roast filled up the house I think it was intoxicating to the tribe because they could NOT wait for their daddy & D to get home to eat it! They kept saying "Eat, Eat". I guess they wanted to make sure I got their point LOUD & CLEAR! LOL! There I was in the kitchen making up their plates before 530. {We usually eat around 615} Rice is one of those dishes that you LOVE to eat but is a HUGE mess to clean up. When you have toddlers you learn to choose wisely in the food dept! I never really know which way it is going to go when I put a plate of rice in front of them. Some days it is a disaster where they fling rice like animals & get it EVERYWHERE or other times they surprise me & eat like royalty all proper & dainty! Well that night was a good night! They devoured pretty much every morsel! Camryn especially! There she was munching down, plate after plate. Yes she ate every last bite on her plate & then asked for more! AMAZING! Now why can't Mr B do this!? He is the one that needs more meat on those bones of his! LOL! Either she was VERY hungry or she is having one MAJOR growth spurt! When dinner was finally done she had cleaned off more than her fair share...

exactly what crayons are for....
We took the tribe out to The Olive Garden recently. It is our usual set up, The kids are spaced out with Mommy & Daddy seated between them. EACH & EVERY restaurant wants to give them crayons with the kid menu BUT they never seem to know "the rules". That is using them to make a creation on the paper & NOT eating them! They think crayons are an appetizer! LOL!
Well I was just amazed at how different they behaved this time. There they were actually coloring! I had to capture the moment & snapped a few pic's! Made me SO proud! I made Michael take a gander at how well they were sitting there coloring away! We did have a few moments where Avery wanted to EAT her menu & tempted herself with one crayon but that was short lived! Overall it was a great evening.
Maybe this is the start of something! Should I go out & buy them a ton of art stuff? Crayons? Markers? No, I think I will just wait & see. For now I will just settle for what we already have at home. Now if they could just learn their colors! WOO HOO I think I'd be shedding a tear! I guess I am just amazed that they now know...

I've been replaced!
We have a visitor for Thanksgiving this year. My niece, Sarah, brought her best friend Alexis with her to share Thanksgiving with us. Well, Camryn took to her right away. It seems as if she has known Alexis her entire life. She ONLY wants Alexis to hold her, to feed her, to cuddle her, etc. It is BAD! No longer does Camryn want me ALL the time! It is a STRANGE feeling not to have her attached to my hip! I try to get a little snuggle time & she has no use for me! )= Last night we all went out to celebrate Dustyn's 13th birthday. Dustyn got to choose the restaurant & he chose J Marks, it just happens to be down the street from my Mom's house. The weather was perfect so three fourths of us decided to walk there. Of course Camryn wanted Alexis to carry her. Once inside we had to decide where each child should sit. This is important so you have enough helpers by each child. Sarah made the comand decision to place Camryn ACROSS the table from Alexis. It was SO funny to watch her stare at Alexis. She watched her EVERY move. Alexis even helped get her to eat her food. What a great help! It worked out really well UNTIL she had to use the restroom. You would have thought Camryn was hurt by the way she cried for her. Uh oh! I do not know what I am going to do when they all leave on Sunday. I definitely know who Camryn would like to babysit her when we are in Atlanta! For now I just feel like...
