check out our brown eyed beauties...

While searching for a few pictures to add to my next blog post I found some OLD photos of D & Cam stored on our PC. I also found ones of him & the others but these were so darn cute I just had to share them! I could not believe that I had "misplaced" them inside our computer! I guess when you take as many pictures as I do you are bound to misplace a few! LOL! Our two brown eyed beauties! D may not like being called a beauty but he is one handsome boy! And beauty is in the eye of the beholder! If ever two children looked alike it would be the two of them! Boy did I start reminiscing when I found these pics! It amazes me at how much they both have grown over the past three years! WOW! Camryn has always been our biggest baby but even she has grown into herself & D, well he is now taller & bigger than me PLUS he wears a size 14 shoe! CRAZY! She is the only one that has the same olive complexion (she can tan in like 5 minutes!), the same brown hair & adorable brown eyes! There is NO way he can deny her as his sister! She is the female version of him! (=

Check out these MIA pics! (=

no diaper mommy...

Now one would think that when a child says "No diaper mommy" that means they are ready to potty train. I mean that is what that statement means isn't it? No more diapers. This is my latest challenge, understanding my children! They thoroughly confuse me! Is this their own language? Is it like reverse psychology? Do they mean what they say? Each morning when they wake up I ask them to go pee pee on the potty.I even put their potty's in front of the TV so they could watch their show while doing their business! We decorated them with stickers & their names. They pulled the stickers off! sigh... They will usually go sit on their potty or say no diaper mommy. What does that mean!? The even stranger part is that if I let them run around naked they will go sit on the potty & pee about 10x a day! If I put a diaper on them they will pee & immediately want it off! Hello! If you don't like the feel of pee next to your bottom then pee on the potty! It is a simple concept! LOL! Then there is the whole #2 issue. They would much rather do #2 in their diaper. OK, Brendan would much rather do #2 in his diaper because his sisters have done it on the potty without resistance. At times I feel like I am their personal pep squad. We throw out high fives & Yahoo's EACH & EVERY time they do anything on the potty. They even get something EXTRA when they go without me reminding them. I have tried it all! So here is the challenge I am faced with, What do they mean when they say...

Don't judge a book by it's cover!...

I never get to listen to "adult" music now that I'm a mommy! It seems that we listen to toddler TV & toddler tunes in the car. MAYBE Daddy will turn on his CMT after dinner but I cannot even remember the last time I listened to MY music. SO you can understand how I have no idea about who is hot or popular in the music scene. SO imagine my surprise when I sat down the other day to watch my taped episode of Oprah. She started the show out with clips from Lady GaGa video's. At first I said to myself you don't want to watch this. I had not heard anything good about her & really never listened to her music. But I decided I would see what she was all about & maybe find about this new sensation. I have to say that I watched the entire interview! She even made me a somewhat "fan". More for the woman she is than the songs she writes. She has quite the head on those shoulders of hers. The way she spoke to Oprah & her fans made me like her, AND she spoke on how important it is to keep a good relationship with your parents. VERY cool! And to think all of this serious talk from a twenty three year old lady! That old saying ran true to me that day...

the end of buying diapers?...

"I have to go poopie on the potty!". I cannot tell you how long I have been waiting to hear those words! TOO long if you ask me! The whole potty training experience has been such a struggle that some days I just gave up! These children of ours are VERY stubborn & will only do something when they want to do it! In fact some mornings they will wake up & the first thing out of their mouths will be "No BIG kid panties!". Like they knew what I have planned for them & they wanted NO part of it! LOL! So for the good part of the last year we did not potty train at all. I was not going to get any more stressed out than I already was! Costco became our second home because we could get the best deal on diapers there! I did not even revisit the potty training business until the last week or so. And it was not until the past few days did we see some HUGE progress! It all started the night before their 3rd birthday. I was bathing all four of them as I usually do when Cam tells me that she has to go poopie in the potty. Like I have not heard these words before. I did NOT believe it at all but I obliged her! I dried her off & she climbed up on the potty. She sat there for a good bit longer than I thought she should so I went to put her back into the tub when she said "No, I poopie in the potty!". Low and behold she did the deed! I was in awe! My daughter pooped on the potty & I did NOT have to remind her! WOO HOO! This is such a HUGE accomplishment! Does this mean we are near...

Happy Birthday to me!...

Well we made it! We made it through the "terrible two's" and have now entered what I have been told is even "better" than the two's... the three's! WOO HOO! Yes the tribe has turned three! We want to give a BIG thank you to all that have helped us get to where we are today! Today at church we were reminded of our HUGE church family. It was wonderful seeing a few of the volunteers that helped make those first few months bearable. If it was not for each of you we would not have been able to do it! SO again thanks! Today has been a day of reflection for me. It seems like yesterday that I was sitting in our fertility doctors office crying my eyes out thinking I would never have a child of my own. Little did I know then that our lives would be drastically different in such a few short years! WOW! SO much has gone on since that day! A miracle happened that day when against all odds we went for our last IVF cycle, implanting the last three embryos we had left. Never being pregnant I did not think they would take. You see I had about given up my faith in getting any of my prayers answered. Apparently God really did have a plan for us! Again, WOW! We had MANY people praying for & look where we are today, the proud parents of three year old quadruplets! I think back to when they all fit in the same crib. Now you can barely get them to stay still to pose for a picture! AMAZING how time flys when you are BUSY BUSY BUSY! Where do I begin to say what a gift it is to be their parents? Yes, it is HARD work! Yes I have bad days where I want to pull my hair out! Yes I wish we could afford to send them to preschool just so I could have a moment to breath! But through all of the hard stuff I am just happy to be called Mom. Motherhood is one of the best gifts I ever could have been given! Each year that we get to celebrate their miraculous birth is even more precious to me! I especially get excited when they chime in and sing...

Happy Birthday to me!...

My Little Pony...

One of the best gifts the tribe received this year was four little ponies. Now before you go jumping to the wrong conclusion they are NOT the living, breathing kind! Like we could even afford that! LOL! They are even better, they are the bouncy kind! You see for Christmas my cousin & her family bought them some Rody ponies. They are one of the coolest toys from Italy. They come in all colors & even in different species. Amazingly they found one in each of their colors. How cool is that!?The tribe even named each of them with help of course! {Thank you Raine!} We now have Juicy the orange horse, Boris the blue horse, Pinky Dinky Do the pink pony & Penelope the purple pony. They are made from BPA free rubber & inflate just like a basketball. The minute we "blew" them up they hopped right on them & bounced around! They even bounced off of them too! LOL! It took them falling a few times for them to get what they needed to do. Now they are pro's & bounce all over the place! When they need to burn off some extra energy I just tell them to go get their ponies. It brings new meaning to the saying...

Let it snow!...

Ok I know that winter means COLD weather and a high chance of snow for about everyone outside the state of Florida. Yes we had snow flurries when I was in the 1st grade but that does not count. It melted before it touched my tongue! I have to tell you that this Floridian did not really see snow until she was 16 and even then she was very unprepared for it! My wardrobe consisted of t-shirts & shorts only to have a freak snowstorm hit our rustic cabin in the NC mountains. We had about 6 inches of snow that Spring Break. Needless to say I got majorly sick after that adventure! But at least I can say I saw snow! Now fast forward quite a few years to the winter of 2010. We've had some CRAZY CRAZY weather! For the amount of clothes we have layered upon ourselves we need something for our trouble! I think we deserve some snow! Approximately 3 hours North of us got some so why not share the wealth? I mean since Florida is NOT suppose to be so cold why not make it memorable one?! And to think they say there is global warming, ha! Something is going on but I doubt it's that! I started getting my hopes up today when it started raining. All you need is COLD weather & a little precipitation. We have the components so bring it on! Nothing like rain & cold weather to ruin a perfectly good Saturday! UGH! But if it snowed now that would turn even a bad day good! Now all of your northerners who get the snow I am sorry to complain. I just want the tribe to see what you all take for granted. If my wish comes true I promise not to complain again! (= Give me something to talk about! Give us some snow! We have the precipitation & the temperature is cold enough so why not let us get some benefit out of it!? The tribe needs some action down here & a good snow day would do just the trick! SO please Mother Nature please either give us our warm weather back or just...

Buddy...

Funny how just one year can change SO much! These children of ours have grown so much in the past year, not only in height but also in vocabulary. The say SO much! The things that come out of their mouths! YIKES! Makes me bite my tongue on quite a few occasions for fear they will repeat me! LOL! One of the words that has stuck has been Linz's nickname for Brendan. She does not call him Brendan or Brendy, but calls him "Buddy". It is SO cute seeing how she interacts with him & shows him her affection. Just yesterday she held him in her arms & rubbed the hair on his head and neck. You know how soft & fuzzy the hair is after a buzz cut, well she ran her fingers across the back of his neck & he just giggled. He is by far our most ticklish child! He loved every moment of the attention she gave him! SO SO cute! Maybe they will continue that bond once school starts & be the twosome that stays together in their first classroom. You know I will NOT be splitting them up if I don't have to! Oh to be two and not have a care in the world! (= These children definitely give us more joy than we even realize. Lately my smiles have come from watching Linz and her...

Those are my big girl panties!...

Oh I am trying my hand at potty training the tribe AGAIN. Yes I am a glutton for punishment! Some days they oblige me & want to do it other days they want NO part of it! They even got some new training pants from Santa! {hint, hint!} They apparently did not get the memo from Santa saying that he wanted them to give up diapers! LOL! How exactly do you potty train FOUR children of the same age at the same time? HELP! I do not think I have enough energy or patience to survive this phase of their life! sigh...

When it is a bad day they only want diapers. They make sure & tell me "No panties". Then on a good day they will want to wear the training pants I give them & on even a better day they want their "big girl" panties. WOO HOO! We inherited quite a few pairs from their cousin & they love wearing them. Before you even ask Brendan has Transformer ones! LOL! They have even taken to wearing certain pairs, like they don't want to share. Oh No! Just the other day I heard Camryn from across the room yelling at Avery...

Here's to 2010...

Here's some pictures from our New Year celebration to share. Oh the memories we made over the past few days!

Uncle Rick, fireworks extraordinaire, getting our fireworks display ready this year! He & Michael usually put on quite the show for us. They are like our personal pyromaniacs!I don't know what happened between 4th of July & New Years because the tribe wanted NO part of the fireworks display! Grandma's front porch was as close as they got! (=What a cool kite! Uncle Rick got it for the tribe! They took it out for a spin since we had just the right amount of wind. They LOVED flying it!Uncle Rick & his newest best bud, Lindsey! She just loves snuggling with her new favorite Uncle, Rick!I just LOVE this picture of Camryn on her new bike! Just look how adorable she is! Love her!
One of my new favorite photos! Brendan & Aave have THEE best smiles! I just want to eat them up! (= Happy New Year...
